Every product that comes through our door is verified before it hits the floor. We've been buying and selling streetwear long enough to know every tell — the weight of the cotton, the placement of the tag, the feel of the hardware. You don't have to take our word for it. Here's exactly how we do it.
If any product you receive from 1000Degree is ever found to be inauthentic, we will issue a full refund immediately — no questions, no return required. This has never happened. We intend to keep it that way.
HOW WE VERIFY EVERY PIECE
Source Verification
We only buy from authorized brand distributors, licensed wholesale accounts, and verified resellers with documented provenance. If we can't trace where a piece came from, it doesn't come in.
Tag & Label Inspection
Every garment is inspected for correct tag placement, font weight, stitching pattern, and care label formatting. Counterfeit operations almost always cut corners here — we know exactly what the real thing looks like for every brand we carry.
Material & Construction Check
We check fabric weight, stitching density, zipper hardware, and wash consistency. Authentic streetwear has a specific hand feel — after thousands of units, you know it immediately. Fakes don't feel right and they don't drape right.
Brand-Specific Authentication
Each brand has its own tells. Purple Brand denim has specific rivet placement. FOG Essentials has proprietary label fonts. KSUBI uses specific hardware finishes. We verify against brand-specific criteria for every piece, not just generic checks.
Final Review Before Shipment
Every online order is physically pulled, re-inspected, and packed by a team member before it ships. No automated fulfillment. Human eyes on every piece, every time.
WHAT TO LOOK FOR — BY BRAND
Authentic Purple Brand denim has a specific copper rivet with the brand stamp on the reverse. The inside waistband label uses a precise italic font — counterfeits get the spacing wrong. The distressing is done during construction, not applied after — you can feel the difference in the fabric structure.
FOG Essentials uses a matte rubberized patch label with specific font weight and kerning. The "ESSENTIALS" text is never glossy on authentic pieces. Fleece weight is consistently 400-420gsm — fakes are almost always lighter. Check the sleeve cuff rib — authentic pieces have a defined 2x2 rib with no pilling at stress points.
KSUBI uses a specific Japanese selvedge denim with a signature cast to the indigo. The back pocket stitching follows a precise pattern — counterfeits get the arc wrong. Hardware is brushed nickel with a subtle KSUBI stamp. The inside tag is a woven label, never printed.
Authentic Hellstar uses 400gsm heavyweight cotton that holds its shape. Screen prints are plastisol-based with a raised texture — fakes use water-based prints that sit flat. The inside neck label is a specific black-on-black woven tag with tight stitching at all four corners.
